You simply can't ignore the recent stats from Gallup's

State of the American Workplace.

Only 33% of U.S. workers are engaged at work.

Additionally, only 3 in 10 U.S. employees strongly agree that they have the materials and equipment to do their work right.

An actively disengaged employee costs an organization $3,400 for every $10,000 of salary, or 34%. That means a disengaged employee who makes $70,000 annually costs the organization $23,800 a year.

51% of all employees are actively looking for a new job or watching for openings.  When it comes to millennials, 6 in 10 are open to changing jobs and almost a quarter of them already changed jobs in the past year.

Movement by millennials in the workforce

is estimated to cost the U.S. economy

$30.5 billion annually.

Your employer brand is defined by how people see you as an employer. Whether you manage it or not, whether positive or negative, accurate or misguided, you cannot escape the fact that you have an employer brand.
